Licence agreement (EULA)
The terms under which you may install and use MEP DC software.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Agreement
This agreement is between MEP DC ("we", "us") and the person or organisation installing the software ("you"). By installing or using any MEP DC tool for Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD ("the Software") you agree to these terms.
1. Licence
1.1 Trial. Each tool may be used free of charge for 14 days for evaluation.
1.2 Paid licence. On payment we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the tool(s) you bought, for one named user on up to two computers, or the number of seats stated in your order. A pack licence covers the tools listed for that pack. A Full Suite licence covers every MEP DC tool, including tools released later, for as long as the licence is valid.
1.3 Term. Perpetual licences may be used indefinitely and include updates for 12 months. Annual licences are valid while the subscription is paid.
1.4 You may move a licence to another computer by removing it from the old one (MEP DC tab › Licences › Remove).
2. Personal and Business licences
2.1 Personal licence. A Personal licence may only be bought by an individual, with their own money, for use by that individual. It covers that person's own work, including work as a freelancer, sole trader or student. It must not be paid for, reimbursed or provided by an employer, client or any other organisation, and must not be used by an employee for their employer's work.
2.2 Business licence. A Business licence is required whenever the Software is bought, paid for or reimbursed by a company, partnership, public body or other organisation, or is used by an employee or contractor for an organisation's work. Each Business licence is for one named user; companies need one licence per user.
2.3 Both licence types include the same features, updates and support.
2.4 A Personal licence can't be transferred to an organisation. You can upgrade it to a Business licence at any time by paying the difference in price. If a Personal licence is used where a Business licence is needed, we may ask you to upgrade or end the licence.
3. Restrictions
You may not share, sell, rent or sub-license the Software or licence keys; exceed your seat count; reverse engineer, decompile or modify the Software except where the law expressly allows; remove or bypass the licence checks; or use the Software to build a competing product.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep all intellectual property rights in it. Autodesk, Revit and AutoCAD are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. MEP DC is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk, Inc.
5. Your models and engineering responsibility
The Software assists with modelling and documentation. You remain responsible for checking all results, including cable sizes, tray fill, weights, schedules, relinked paths and converted files, against manufacturer data, the applicable standards (e.g. BS 7671) and your own engineering judgement. Always keep backups of your models.
6. Data
When you activate or re-check an online licence, the licence key, a computer name and a user name are sent to our licence provider to check the licence. No model data leaves your computer. See our privacy policy.
7. Warranty
We will supply the Software with reasonable care and skill and it will match its description. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, it is provided "as is" with no warranty that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in this agreement limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of data, profit, business or indirect loss. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Refunds
See our refund policy. Approved refunds can take up to 10 working days to reach your account.
10. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break these terms. On termination you must uninstall the Software.
11. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
