Terms of sale
The terms that apply when you buy a licence for MEP DC software.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who we are
MEP DC, based in the United Kingdom. Email: info@mep-dc.co.uk.
2. What we sell
We sell licences for downloadable software add-ins for Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD ("the Software"). We do not sell physical goods or services through this website. Each product page describes what the Software does and which versions it supports.
3. Ordering and payment
Orders are processed by our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoices and sales tax/VAT. Your contract for the purchase is with Lemon Squeezy; your licence to use the Software is with us (see the licence agreement). Prices are shown in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Multi-seat and company orders can also be paid by invoice and bank transfer; email us for a quote.
4. Licence types
Every product is sold with a Personal or a Business licence, each paid either once (perpetual) or every year (annual). Both licence types include exactly the same features.
- Personal licence: for an individual who buys with their own money and is the only person who uses it, for example a freelancer, sole trader or student. It must not be paid for or reimbursed by an employer, client or other organisation, and it can't be transferred to a company.
- Business licence: required whenever a company, partnership, public body or other organisation pays for the licence or reimburses it, or the Software is used by an employee for their employer's work. Multi-seat discounts and invoicing are available for Business licences only.
If you bought a Personal licence and later need a Business one, email us and you only pay the difference. If we find a Personal licence is being used where a Business licence is needed, we may ask you to upgrade or end the licence.
How you pay:
- Perpetual: pay once and use the version you bought indefinitely, with updates and support for 12 months.
- Annual: a subscription that renews every 12 months until you cancel. The Software works while the subscription is paid.
What you can buy:
- Single tools: one tool on one licence key.
- Packs: a fixed group of related tools on one licence key, as listed on the tools page. The Electrical Pack will include Cables2Tray once it is released.
- Full Suite: one licence covering every MEP DC tool, including tools released while the licence is valid.
Each licence is for one named user and can be active on two computers at a time.
5. Delivery
The Software is delivered by download and your licence key is emailed straight after payment. If it doesn't arrive within an hour, check your junk folder and then email info@mep-dc.co.uk.
6. Free trial
Every tool can be used free for 14 days before you buy. Please use the trial to check the Software works with your projects, versions and workflow.
7. Cancelling subscriptions
You can cancel an annual subscription at any time from the link in your receipt email or by emailing us. It stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and won't renew.
8. Refunds
See our refund policy. Once we approve a refund, it can take up to 10 working days to reach your account, depending on your bank or card provider. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Your responsibilities
The Software helps with modelling and documentation. You remain responsible for checking all results against manufacturer data, the relevant standards and your own engineering judgement, and for keeping backups of your models.
10. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, for business customers our total liability is limited to the price paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business, data or indirect loss. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version shown when you bought applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also bring claims in your local courts.
